In Warhammer chaos (beastmen) armies, Minotaurs, also known as Bullgors, are a massive bull-headed breed of the Beastmen race
that are known famously for their savage temper, brute strength and an
insatiable hunger for hot blood and raw flesh. Often growing to twice
the height of a man and far greater in muscular bulk, their
thick-skulled heads are broad and ugly, and their sharp horns can
eviscerate with a single thrust (SOURCE). They can come up in different sizes.
Here another pic to give a sense of the proportion between Bullgors and standard human/figurine-size miniatures (SOURCE).
From our angle, they most importantly are unmissable, iconic elements... And here comes my MOC in different versions (accessories/weapons, horn-size/types).
To build big, I started big with the gorilla macrofigure, with this precise sense of proportions in mind. Its head cannot be removed, so it needs to be hidden and this is just perfect to gain in overall size and in particular a disproportionate torso.
Strong points are:
- The proportions vs a normal body size
- First time I see brick 53457 used this way for a two-foot monster head
- I cannot tell the fun I had to build on the gorilla macrofigure
- Weapons were also good fun to build
Sadly enough, this is the perfect example of how it might get difficult to ensure the same level of details in the adaptation proccess from Warhammer to LEGO. This is a constant challenge and of course this gap can be filled more easily certain times than others.
This minotaur in particular can definitely be improved with armour and other details. Of course, if it would go under production, LEGO could avoid the marks of the torso of the macrofigure and instead come up with some stickers for the rib cage. Perhaps also ensure some hooves in the single-built body.

Finally, this one picture I have just found, reminds of something that's... waiting in my drawer for years now...
