Grudge Throwers, also known simply as Stone Throwers or Catapults, are powerful and destructive weapons that lob large boulders high into the air, sending them crashing through enemy ranks crushing limbs and armour alike [1]
Been a funny and challenging conversion to make for its squared shapes, viking-like patterns and tiny reliefs all around the frame and the catapult main arm.
I am extremely proud I could render many little details, such as the hand-like bucket (long live Bionicle!), the wheel at the bottom of the arm, the winch on the back side. But also the gear of the middle mechanism and its wooden blockage. Golden medallions on the sides could both work with a normal 1x1 golden tile or 1x1 golden flat. Please, appreciate the many segments of the arm and the sides of the model, compared to the original above.
Proportions within the MOC and with minifigs is as accurate as I could get it. As usual, LEGO colour combos adapt smoothly with WHFB models.
To be added:
- Rope between arm and winch
- Replace existing black decorations with golden one (anybody to help?)
- Wheels (correct brick already identified)
