LORE
Do not be mislead all Chaos dwarfs are Hashut followers!
They are so many and hidden in forgotten keeps, separated from the rest of their kind. Underground or on atop mountains cloaked in mist, they are devoted to all sort of evil gods.
In my imagination, a night stalker is a huge gyrocopter, much bigger than the most classic, whose shape is meant to imitate the one of a dragon, stalking villages and cities from atop the mountains. Its pilot is under instructions to rather crash it on a rock wall rather than land it downhill, so to keep this secret.
In these undivided war machines they do not imprison or bind daemons and
more in general their contraptions simply emerge out of pure mechanical
and engineering genius.
Night stalkers pilots are part of an elite corp of wing equipped assaulters flying side by side with these machines and their pilots for smaller, spot-on interventions. |
MOC
So although heavily against what I call the one-for-one direction Warhammer has taken recently in the Total War format, e.g. that each army has giants, flying units, etc. sorta trying to level/even up every race/faction so to have the same chances and game options (in exchange of flattening and banalising the lore level), I do believe there is too little lore on Chaos Dwarf to exclude some of their clans might get to ride a gyrocopter.
I really can't wrap my head around many details yet, such as the weaponry this little joy deserves (Dynamite barrels? Flame thrower?) or quite some finishings around the engine.
It might easily come in several subtypes: freight carrier, bomb carrier, and so forth.
Yet I believe that, although pretty much half-way, it already deserves sharing.
These close-ups show the blades, which I find particularly beautiful and harmonious in their bat wings theme and the actual starting point of this MOC |
